Celebration for Jon Sanders
Intrepid solo sailor Jon Sanders (81) will complete his 11th circumnavigation in the Fremantle Inner Harbour about 1 pm on the 31st January. He will do a victory lap with a flotilla to accompany him.

The First Lady Commodore of a Yacht Club in India
POR for Mumbai, Gulshan Rai, has sent in a notice that Ms. Rama Mathew has been elected Commodore of Bombay Customs Yacht Club. Gulshan was the recipient of the Barton Cup in 1988.

Sea Mercy - Supporting the Villages on the Outlying Islands of Fiji
OCC member Jonathan Robinson of Sea Mercy put together a fleet of 7 yachts to go to the aid of some of the more remote islands on the North of Vanua Levu which was hit hard by cyclone Yasa.

Cruising Permit in the Maldives
OCC Port Officer Rep is working hard to make the Maldives accessible to cruising yachts. As of 27 December 2020, there will no longer be a charge for the cruising permit for yachts 15m or less.
